It is not recommended for technical subjects or courses. It is important to note that consecutive interpreting requires additional time since the interpreter conveys the message after the speaker.

Remote Interpretation

Interpreters work remotely, allowing the hiring of highly skilled and specialized interpreters located anywhere in the world. The interpreter requires a reliable and robust internet connection, a computer, headset and a clear and stable sound source. The audience requires access to the enabled interpretation channels.

We do not claim to be able to handle hundreds of languages. We specialize in two main languages: Spanish & English. However, when we receive a request for another language, we make sure we have experienced professionals.

While InterpreterDC primarily focuses on conference, technical, and corporate legal interpreting, we believe that high-stakes immigration proceedings require the same level of linguistic precision. To ensure these critical services remain accessible, we offer specially adjusted 'Access to Justice' rates exclusively for USCIS cases.

Portable Interpreting Equipment

Our Portable Simultaneous interpretation Equipment mimics the audio configuration of a regular Simultaneous Interpretation service; it offers the best audio for everyone involved and guarantees the interpreters will be able to hear the speakers and audience properly so that they can offer their best rendition and convey the message accurately into the other language. This unique configuration sets us apart from other suppliers. Note that this configuration does not require amplification through a PA system.

• Up to 35 Williams Sound Multichannel FM receivers.The kit includes headphones for the speakers and give away earbuds for the audience. More receivers may be available upon request.

• 2 Williams Sound Multichannel FM Transmitters with Dual-Channel Presets paired with Sennheiser noise-canceling headsets. There is one active transmitter and one backup in the kit.

• Kit of two wireless microphones (2 lavalier or 1 lavalier and 1 handheld) for the speakers and audience; and a receiver for the interpreters to get clear audio from the speaker. This allows the interpreter to keep physical distance from the parties.
